Back from camp – Church Lad’s Brigade and Denaby Scouts

The Church lads Brigade returned on Saturday from Bridlington, where they had been camping with the Sheffield battalion. They had a very enjoyable week.

Denaby scouts return from camp last Sunday after a very enjoyable time at Saltwick, near Whitby. They had splendid weather. Various beauty spots were visited. The camp was under the supervision of Scoutmaster T. W. Slater, who had the assistance of Scoutmaster A. H. Slater and Cubmaster Mrs. Parry. Sports and campfires were a special feature. They were joined at the campfire by the second Swinton troupe who were camping nearby.

Cubs sprint: D. Wimpenny; long jump: sixer J. Ibbotson; high jump: sixer P. Lunn,

Scouts sprint: patrol leader W. Taylor; long jump: H. Holland; high jump: patrol leader E. Walker.
