Bad Language
William Naughton (52), Miner, Denaby, was at the Doncaster West Riding Police Court on Tuesday, fined 20s for using abusive language.
PC Yeomans said he saw some boys, including defendants son, playing whip and top on the footpath near Strafforth Terrace.
They were knocking the tops into the road and chasing them. Having previously warned the children, he called at defendant’s house and asked him to assist the police in this matter.
Defendant became very abusive, saying. “I have seen the time when I could settle a —– like you.” Defendant prepared to make a rush at witness, but his elder son held him.
Defendant’s wife said she had been married to him for 23 years, and she had never heard him use bad language in her life.
