Brave Policeman at Denaby Main
On Tuesday afternoon, a little boy named Arthur James Bryce attempted to cross the Great Central Railway at Denaby Main, after waiting for a goods train to pass.
Almost before the train had passed him the little fellow made a bolt across the metals, and a light engine, rushing alone from the opposite direction, would assuredly have cut him to had not Police-constable Richardson dashed the line, and snatched the boy literally from under the wheels.
It was an act which deserves be recognised.
