Breach of Colliery Rules at Denaby.
Edward Burke, miner, Denaby, was charged by the Denaby Main Colliery Co., for a breach of Colliery rules number. 101 (a).
Mr. Frank Allen appeared to prosecute, and stated when the defendant was working on the 20th ult., he was told to set three props. He only set two, thus leaving a space of 7 ft. untimbered.
When the deputy next saw him he was engaged in getting coal, which considerably added to the danger.
John Carlton, deputy at he pit, gave corroborative evidence.,
A fine of 7/6. And 12 /6 for costs was imposed.
