Breedon to Compete in 100 Mile Time Trial.

Barry Breedon the 25 years old Conisbrough Ivanhoe champion, walls the British record at 25 and 50 miles will tackle a 100 mile time trial for the first time on Sunday, compete in the West Pennine Road club’s open race in Lancashire.

Barry, who has won 18 open time trials at 25 and 50 miles this year, may later tackle a 12 hours T.T.and so bid for a place among the leaders in the British and Yorkshire. “Best all-rounder” Championships, though his participation in a 12 will depend very much on the form he shows in the under mile race.

Winning the Hemsworth Wheelers ‘25’ in 55 min 56 seconds, last Sunday, improving the event record he set up 12 months ago by one second, the Ivanhoe, C.C.champion, beat 56 min for the seventh time this season – a record of consistency and speed which no other rider has ever achieved.

Is rivals, were drawn from as far afield as London, Cardiff, Birmingham and Newcastle, Bertolli Chris Mumford (Edgware R.C.) the London International finished within a minute of Barry, and he was 29 seconds down.
