Brutal Treatment of a Dog at Conisborough

On Saturday at the County Police Court, at Doncaster, James Dalton, collier, New Conisborough, was charged with cruelty to a dog, and also with being drunk and disorderly on 31 August.

Defendant did not appear, although there were 44 convictions against him.

It was stated that he kicked a dog in the street in the most unmerciful manner, causing great pain.

He was fined 25 shillings including costs for the cruelty and 35 shillings including costs for the other offence, or 21 days to prison.
