Parents & relatives of Seaman John Burton, of Denaby Main are eagerly awaiting news of his whereabouts.
He was on board the ill fated H.M.S. Hardy which was beached in the first battle of Narvik.
He joined the Navy at 18, seven years ago, and has seen service in H.M.S. Beagle, H.M.S. Shropshire, H.M.S. Rodney and H.M.S. Hardy.
He was formerly employed at Denaby Colliery
