Hoyland Cricketers Appointment

On Thursday, Mr H Cusworth commenced his duties as assistant under manager at the Cadeby Main Colliery.

Mr Cusworth has been many years at Hoyland Silkstone in a similar capacity, and during his term there was one the confidence of his employers.

He is well known and cricket circles, and has for years been the mainstay of the Hoyland Silkstone cricket team, of about two years as acted as secretary. It goes without saying that his loss to Hoyland Silkstone will be considerably fell.

Mr Gus’s as had a distinguished career in matters pertaining to education, and the following list of certificates years again..

He holds a first-class certificate in City and Guilds, of London Institute, ordinary grade, mine surveying; first class teacher’s certificate, Sheffield University; second class electrical engineering, and also a second-class certificate in competency. He also holds first of certificates gained at Barnsley in mining, mechanics, physics, surveying and chemistry.

We wish him every success in his new sphere of labour.
