Cadet Boxing Titles

70 competitors drawn from 13 battalions took part in the opening stages of the national Army Cadet Force boxing championships at  Highwoods Road Drill Hall, Mexborough, on Saturday.

There were over 30 contests during afternoon and evening.

Four Cadets of the 2nd York and Lancaster for whom Mexboro’ Drill Hall is headquarters, were among the winners to go forward to the county finals at Leeds next month.

They were Cadets Regan, O’Neil, Carolis and Higgins (picture), the Denaby boy who already holds a national title.
