Calves Smothered at Denaby.

On Saturday morning Mr. Fred Elliott, farmer, Old Denaby, found three of his calves accidentally smothered.

It appears that the calves were under a granary, the floor of which had given way during the previous night, with the result that the newly- thrashed grain which had been stored there for the winter, fell upon and buried the unfortunate trio, the weight being very heavy.
