Display Prize.

Mr. Christopher Chadburn of Castle Grove, Conisbrough, has won a prize of five guineas in a carpet display competition.

He has been only one year in the carpet trade and previously was employed at the Denaby Co-operative grocery department.

The report states, ‘He has shown an unexpected talent for display and now regularly dresses the window of a carpet firm in Doncaster where he is employed. His success was in a national display and he was highly commended for his work.

The materials he used apart from the carpets cost only 4s. 6d.. and included cardboard to make arms, legs and faces for the carpet dancing girls.
