Colliery Accidents.

An accident happened on Tuesday to a trammer named Henry Poxon, employed at this colliery.

The unfortunate man was in his working place, when a quantity of coal fell upon him from “the face.”

He was sadly bruised about the body and his hip was put out of joint.

Dr Sykes, attended the man, and is now progressing favourably.

The same morning a similar accident befell another trimmer named Maurice Dunn.

Whilst in his working place a large piece of coal fell upon one of his feet, severely crushing his toes.
