Conanby’s Schemer
This is only Conanby’s second season and they are in the running for Mexboro’ Minor League honours. They have been fortunate to get the services of J. Clarke, an inside-right, who has played with Wombwell, Wath, Denaby and Scunthorpe in the Midland League, and with Firbeck and Edlington in the Doncaster League.
Not meeting with the success he hoped for he had a rest for two seasons and then was induced to join Conanby. He is the brains of that club’s attack and it is mainly through his scheming that . Conanby hold the positions they do.
His goal on Saturday against Roman Terrace was the best of the match—and the winner. He is only 22, stands 5ft. 10 and weighs 11st 10.
