Conisboro’ and Denaby Imbibers.

James Rooney, a New Cosiaboro’ miner, did not appear in answer to a charge of being drunk and disorderly at Conisboro’, on the 27th nit., on which date P.c. Lockwood swore to seeing James in Doncaster Road, shortly after 10 p.m., in an inebriated condition. ‘ Abusive language, too, was issuing from Jim’s lips

The magistrates imposed an inclusive penalty of 18/-, with the alternative of 10 days.

George Vernon, a Denaby miner was similarly charged, at the instance of P.c. Needham, who informed the Bench that George, on Saturday, the 27th ult., at 11 p.m. was extremely disorderly in Barnburgh Street, Denaby, his language being highly coloured.

10/- and costs or seven days.

P.c. Wathey preferred a like charge on a Conisboro’ labourer, by name George Clark.

The police officer stated that on the 29th ult., at 10-40 p.m. defendant was acting in a very irresponsible manner in Church Street, Conisboro’, shouting and swearing at the top of his voice.

Two shillings and costs or seven days.

Lucid Language at Denby and Conisboro’.

John Mangham, New Conisboro’, a miner, according to P.c. Percival, was making use of unprintable language at 11-20 p.m. in Doncaster Road. Denaby, on Saturday, the 27th ult.

He was fined 2/6 and costs— seven days in default of payment.

A Denaby miner, in the person of John Soar, was similarly fined for an offence at Denaby on the same date.
