Icy Roads

The frosty roads were responsible for several skids and damage to motor vehicle during the weekend. On Friday morning Dr D.T.Clark was proceeded towards Doncaster in his car, and when East of Don view developed a skid.

His car swung right round, mounted the pavement, and finished up alongside a wall, damaging the offside and the framework. Fortunately the doctor was uninjured.

On the same afternoon a small car and later a lorry went off the road above the Fat Works on Sheffield Road, but both were checked before they went over the drop into the adjoining field.
