Conisborough Notes – Cannonball
While rooting up part of the hedge in his garden, Mr Taylor, ex-policeman, found a cannonball weighing about six or 7 pounds.
This, I suppose, is not the first that has been found in the neighbourhood, and is decidedly historically curious.
Perhaps some of those learned in local history could enlighten me as to how it got there.
