Conisborough Parish Council and Colliery Company.
The attitude of the Denaby and Cadeby Colliery Company towards the efforts of the Conisborough Parish Council to provide a recreation ground for New Conisborough was strongly criticised at a parish meeting held at Conisborough.
The object of the meeting was to obtain the authority of the ratepayers to application being made for a loan to purchase the proposed recreation ground. The land has been offered to the Council for £2OO and the Meeting gave authority for a loan of this amount being applied for forthwith.
The Chairman of the Council, Mr. S. C. Urch, pointed out that several applications for a right-of-way to the ground had been made to the colliery company, but all had been refused.
The matter had now been taken up by the Doncaster Rural Council.
