Mexborough and Swinton Times April 15
Conisborough School Board.
The usual monthly meeting of this board was held last evening. Dr Hills in the chair.
Other members present; Messrs C.Kilner, E.Greaves, and J.Wigfall, and G.Walker.
It was resolved that Mr Ferdinand´s salary was to be £112 per annum and house from first of August next.
In accordance with the notice given, on the motion of Mr G Walker, it was resolved that Mr Bedwell, assistant master received notice to give up his appointment.
Mr Oxley salary was reconsidered and allowed to remain at £50 per annum.
On the motion of Mr Greaves, it was resolved that on and after 1st May, The school girls be allowed to bring their own materials for sowing etc.
Cheques were signed for £38 12s 6d.
After some other business of minor importance, the Board adjourned .
