Conisborough’s Many Babies

An abnormally high birthrate at Conisborough and Denaby, approaching double the average for England and Wales, is disclosed in the annual report, issued yesterday of Dr John MacArthur, Medical Officer for Conisborough Urban Council.

Dr MacArthur states that 398 births were registered during the year, given a birth rate of 23.1 per thousand, compared to 14.8 for the rest of the country.
