Conisbro’ “Snobs.”

Woman Councillor’s Caustic Comment.

At last night’s meeting the Conisborough Urban Council the Chairman said the Council had approached adjoining authorities on the question of amalgamation.

The Council agreed to ask the County Council to provide large signs at the foot of Alfreton Hill, where so many accidents have occurred and also to have the speed limit fixed at 15 miles per hour.

Mrs. Levers asked why the Council could not build houses at Denaby. Denaby got nothing.

Later, she remarked that they had not a park, and if the children went to Conisborongh they were told to get back to Denaby. There were a lot of snobs at Conisborough.
