John Bradshaw, labourer of no fixed abode, was summoned for being drunk and disorderly, and also for assaulting PC Lovelock, at Conisbrough, on the 30th ult.

PC Lovelock stated that at a 10:15 on the night on the 30th ult. He was in Denaby Road at Conisbrough, and there found the defendant drunk and wanting to fight.

Witness requested the defendant to go away, but he refused and on attempting to remove him, he began to kick.

Defendant kicked witness about the legs, and they both fell to the ground. While witness was put in the handcuffs on he was kicked several times on the body. With the assistance of PC Coddington, a lot defendant hope, though he was very violent on the way to the station.

Defendant pleaded guilty, and said he was sorry for what he had done.

A fine of 10 shillings for being drunk and 20 shillings for the assault, was imposed; in default one months imprisonment.
