Conisbrough Canine Society Dinner

A speaker at the first annual dinner of Conisbrough canine Society last night revealed that £1000 had been raised for local charities by the society in recent years.

The loyal toast was proposed by the chairman. Mr F. Sissons responded and urged more Conisbrough dog lovers to take part in the shows.

“The visitors” was proposed by Mr G. Burden and Mr E. Sharp responded. A toast to “the press” was proposed by Mr S. Skelton (“our dogs” correspondence), who expressed the hope that when larger supplies of paper were available, news from the canine world would once more receive its due share of space.
