Conisbrough Miner and his Mother’s Maintenance.

Alfred Colclough, miner, Conisbrough, employed at the Denaby and Cadeby collieries, was ordered to pay 2/6 per week towards the maintenance of his mother, who is chargeable to the common fund of the Barnsley Union.

Defendant said he could only afford 1s per week, but it was stated in evidence at the weekly earnings of defendant and two of his sons was £3 8s

Colclough said he had eight children.
