Cricket Prospects at Denaby
Denaby and Cadeby play their first council fixture at Thorne on May 7th, and the fixture is of interest in that Jack Munden, who has given such excellent service at Denaby, will probably be in the Thorne side. He lives in Thorne and is to play with that club this season.
Ernest Waddington all-rounder who was in the Sheffield United and later took a coaching post is returning to the club, and they are also hoping to have a new fast bowler.
Arthur Davies Denaby and Cadeby club man, is at the county nets at the moment and secretary Amos Jones said this week that the club would be introducing one or two of the younger players to Council cricket this time. They were hoping for a good season.
