Death of Man Who Ignored Warning

It was stated at a Conisborough, South Yorkshire, inquest on Saturday that a man who collapsed and died in the pit after three days’ work had not worked for four years owing to ill-health and had been warned by his doctor not to go down a mine.

Returning a verdict of ” Accidental death ” on Harry Mangham, aged 44, a miner, of Loversall-street, Denaby, the jury expressed view that death from heart trouble was accelerated by his resuming work.
