South Kirkby 247 for 6 Denaby 147 for 2
South Kirkby batted well, on Saturday, when they entertained Denaby. Batting first South Kirkby compiled 247 runs for the loss of six wickets, W. S. Proctor getting 85 and G. C. Hobson 51. C. Russell also batted well and obtained 65.
Denaby had only 110 minutes to knock off these runs. T. Greenwood and W. E. Narraway batted well, however, and when stumps were drawn they were 147 runs for two wickets.
Narraway was bowled by Russell after reaching 34, and Greenwood got 81 not out.
