Denaby Win Again

Denaby 168   Hoyland Silkstone 79

It really looks if Denaby have at last struck winning patch, and for this they have been searching  for two seasons. Up to a few weeks ago they were the most inconsistent eleven in the league, but with young Smith, Percy Bury, and Luther Robinson all finding their form together, a glimpse of tho old has really been seen.

Speaking of Smith, I am sorry hear that on Friday he, happened unfortunate accident at his work, and at present is lying in the hospital rather seriously ill.

His absence from the team might prove a big handicap, They were all right on Saturday, though mainly owing to fine batting by Luther Robinson, who just missed the half century, and J. Esland. who was responsible for 42. A surprising feature was the number of extras registered, there being no fewer than 32. The collapse of the visitors was due some fine bowling Luther Robinson, who claimed five of the wickets.
