Denaby and Cadeby Plan for New Electrical Plant

An N.C.B. spokesman in Sheffield told a South Yorkshire Times reporter this week that work on the electrical plant in connection with the Amalgamated Denaby and Cadeby Collieries, the major scheme which is to cost in the region of £3 ¼ million, would probably start in March.

Later skip winding would be installed at Cadeby Pit in no 2 shaft but the spokesman said it would be very difficult to be specific about a start date for this work. He said the winding would be carried out on two horizon on one. Coal from Dunsil Barnsley and Parkgate seams from both pits would be lifted and on the other coal from Barnsley, Beamshaw, Haigh Moor and Barnsley seams eventually the spokesman said.

All coal would be wound at Cadeby.
