On Tuesday, the tourists were at Stratford on Avon, and had a full day’s cricket and then an exciting finish, with the local site. Denaby were dismissed for 108, of which Bob Carling, of Mexborough, who had joined the tourists, made 59. The Denaby bowlers proved too much for the local side, however, and the Stratford total was just 14 short of Denaby’s

Stratford – 94 all-out. Denaby won by 14 runs.
The tourists spent Wednesday at Warwick, and yesterday (Thursday), were at Oxford.
