Brodsworth were defeated by four wickets by Denaby after they had declared at 186 for seven, and when there was only one more ball to be sent down.

When the last over was called and with four more wickets to fall, Denaby needed five runs to win.

Off the third delivery Bacon hit a boundary and repeated the stroke off the fifth ball.
