Denaby 71 for 5 Darton 70

The batsmen of Darton and Denaby found unaccountable difficulties in an apparently good wicket at Denaby on Saturday and fifteen wickets at Denaby on Saturday and fifteen wickets fell for 121 runs. Denaby won by five wickets. Darton were dismissed in 70 minutes, though Higgins was absent from the Denaby attack. Shoosmith took 5 wickets for 59 runs and Larke 4 for 26.

Denaby made little better shape till Carlin took a hand, but the match was not won until Wilde had taken four wickets for 27 runs, and Greenwood, Vollans, Wainwright, Nicholson and Robinson had each gone without getting into double figures
