Denaby & Cadeby 90 Brodsworth 91 for 1

Denby gave a disappointing display against Brodsworth on Saturday. With only nine on the board they lost Greenwood, bowled by McPherson for a single. Wainwright was l.b.w. to Mountford for eight without any further addition, and Wright and Robinson added 16 before Wright was caught, by Dolman off McPherson for 10. The fourth wicket fell at 27, but the position improved when Hobson joined Robinson to put on another 22 to bring the total to 49, when Robinson was run out after scoring 22, and Hobson was caught by Seniscal off Mountford for seven at the same total. Twenty-one more runs were added by Pitt-Pladdy and Bateson before the former was out l.b.w. to Bellaby for live, and Denaby were eventually all out fur 90. For Brodsworth, McPherson took 5 for 26.

Brodsworth knocked off the runs for the loss of one wicket, Seniscal being caught by Allen off Robinson for 14 at 61. Baker was 16 not out and Butler 57 not out, including 11 fours. Robinson’s wicket cost him 20 runs.
