Denaby Couple’s Differences.

The Doncaster magistrates on Saturday adjourned for a month a case brought by Mary Ann Maloney, of 67, Barnburgh Street, Denaby Main, against her husband, Thomas Maloney, miner, for having neglected her two-year-old child.

Complaintant said that because of her husband’s conduct and threats, her father, with whom they had been living, turned him out. He had used bad language towards her and had not given her enough money to keep the home.

In reply to the defendant, she admitted that he had been in hospital for six weeks, coming out only two weeks ago. He had never struck her.

Maloney said he gave his wife sufficient money. He had found rooms for them.

The case was adjourned for a month to enable the parties to get together again, the defendant being ordered to pay 5s, a week to the maintenance of the child in the meantime
