A Denaby Inventor

Mr. Israel Rodgers, of Adwick Street, Denaby Main, a Haulage worker, employed in the Denaby Main mine, who shares a first prize offered to the mining industry for the invention of an effective device for automatically checking runaway tubs.

Mr. Rodger´s ingenious apparatus was described in this paper some months ago, and is again referred to elsewhere in the present issue.

It is to be installed at the Bentley Colliery Messrs. Hadfield, of Sheffield having constructed the machinery from Mr. Rodgers´s model.
