Denaby did not reproduce their previous site before when making the long journey to Boston in the future rearrange owing to some misunderstanding of Boston’s part.

The Fitch was fixed, but a few weeks ago Boston cancelled the match were an important linking to Cup tie due to be played last Saturday. Then follow change in the Boston management which was never informed of the cancel fixture.

The Denaby management, thinking that the blank day, did not know that the league fixture at the stand, as arranged until Thursday night. According to league rules, it is understood, club should have at least five days notification.

Boston scored first after 20 minutes play, Notley opening the scoring with a fast low ground shot that had Tremain beaten all the way.

Near the interval Notley scored again with a shot from a difficult angle which Tremain failed to cover.

On resuming Denaby attacked but failed to make any impression on the Boston goal.

The referee blew for a penalty for a foul on Mitcham. Tunstall made no mistake with the “spot” kick to put Boston three goals to the good. Boston carried their total to 4 when Notley shot from close range.

Although four goals in arrears Denaby for that with determination, there efforts be rewarded when Betts ran through to score his 11th league goal.

Then Tunstall made one of his spectacular runs down the wing to score Boston’s fifth goal, just before the end  Cotton, who had made many attempts, reduced the deficit.
