Denaby draw at Bradford
Improvement maintained
Bradford City Res. 2, Denaby United 2

The improvement shown by Denaby in recent games was fully maintained at Bradford on Wednesday, when they held Bradford city reserves to a draw. The ground was in terrible condition following the bad weather, but Denaby stuck to opponents manfully, and even wiped out to 2-0 deficit.

In the first half Bradford City had much the better of play but the Denaby defence, in which Matt Taylor and Hinsley did splendid work, kept the home forwards at bay. However, just before the interval Bradford city got a couple of quick goals first Warne headed through from a centre by Clark and then Moore converted a pass by Wilson.

The City should have gone further ahead on resuming, but several scoring chances went begging. McPhail reduced the arrears when Denaby broke away, and a great effort by Hinsley, who took the ball through on his own, brought the equaliser.

Ralph Burkinshaw, former City player, did well for Denaby, McPhail Hinsley and Matt Taylor were also outstanding.
