Denaby’s Good Show Against Strong Bradford Team.

Bradford Reserves 3 Denaby United 1

Denaby United visited Park Avenue, Bradford, yesterday, for a Midland League game with Bradford. Considering that the latter had strong team, several members of which have appeared at times with the first team, Denaby played a very creditable game.

Their forwards were a lively lot and the defence, although at times unsteady, held the Bradford attacks in such a manner that Bradford’s score was kept down to three goals, obtained by Dinsdale (two) and Cook.

Denaby United tried hard, and their efforts were rewarded when A. Green was fouled in the penalty area when making straight for goal and Senior scored from the spot kick.

Denaby continued to press, but the Bradford defence was sound.

Result: BRADFORD RESERVES 3  Denaby United 1
