Yorkshire Amateurs Win At Denaby

Denaby United 0 Yorkshire Amateurs 1

Denaby United passed out of the English Cup yesterday because they could not finish off their attacks. The best they could was to strike the woodwork four times, all good efforts.

It was not until near the interval that anything was of the visitors forwards, but when they did get into their stride. Shaw, Beddows and Saxton kept the defence at full stretch.

The second half found Denaby still doing most of the attacking, but the Amateurs had more method about their fewer advances, and Shaw scored the only goal midway through the half. That was the only occasion that Brookes in the Denaby goal looked like being beaten.
