Denaby Trial Winger Scores Twice:

Grimsby Win with Ten Men.

Denaby United  2 Grimsby Town Reserves  3

Denaby United, after their Cup-tie draw with Mexborough, reappeared at home yesterday, and played a weakened sde against Grimsby Town Reserves, and were beaten 3—2.

The conditions were again heavy and taxing, and both sides shaped creditably before small attendance.

At half-time Denaby led by two goals, scored by Jones, new outside-right on trial.

Grimsby, who were the smoother working side, lost their goalkeeper through injury in the second half, but with ten men they scored three goals through Coglin, Craven, and Glover, who won deservedly.

Denaby, however, had chances enough make the issue safe earlier on.
