Frickley Colliery were full value for their 6—l win Over Denaby United South Elmsall.

Fricklcy led 1 —0 half-time, up to when the play had been fairly even.

After the resumption, however, Frickley overwhelmed their opponents. Frickley tried new player. Green, from the Ashington district, at centre-forward, and he gave a brilliant exhibition, scoring four goals. Binney got the other two. Denaby’s solitary point was scored during a scramble in the Frickley goal, the ball glancing off Smelt’s back into the net.

The result was regarded as good omen for Frickley, who visit Denaby next Saturday in the third qualifying round the F.A. Cup.
