DENABY BEATEN 4-1

Denaby United who drew 1-1 with Grantham at Tickhill square on September 4th were beaten 4-1 in the return game at Grantham on Saturday.

Two inches of snow on the ground spoiled many early moves.  Gray headed a Clay shot of the line after Williamson had saved from Bosnell.  Dixon had a shot saved then Womack sent the ball wide. Walker too beat Grantham goal keeper with a magnificent drive but the ball went over.

There was no scoring in the first half and in the second half Robinson killed a dangerous Denaby raid.  Weakley shot over and goal keeper Hewitt had twice to leave his goal to clear but the goals came to Grantham,  Bosnell getting a hat trick and Longworth one.

Duggan scored a penalty in reply for Denaby, his second penalty goal this season
