Sheffield Daily Telegraph – Friday 04 March 1910

Grimsby Town Reserve  4  Denaby United 0

At Grimsby.

The home team gave a trial to Swift an amateur inside right from Bradford.

Denaby were quick on the ball, and determined in effort.

However after a while Grimsby got going and Coulbeck found the net. Five minutes later, during a scramble in goal, a penalty kick fell to Grimsby, which Kelly converted.

In the second half the Denaby defence was by no means strong, and Grimsby ultimately ran out winners by four goals to none.
