At Hull, yesterday.
Denaby played up strongly in the opening exchanges, but Hendry proved safe ; until Taylor mis-kicked and Tufnell opened the score for the visitors.
Hull equalised a few minutes later. King beating Thompson from a shot close in.
Half-time: —Denaby. 1 goal; Hull City, 1 goal.
In the second half Hull showed great improvement, but escaped from a penalty taken by Taylor. The locals had most of the game after this, but Middlemiss and Oregon defended gamely, until T. Browell cleverly beat Thompson. Rigby just missed equalising in the last minute.
Result: HULL CITY RESERVE 2 goals. Denaby 1 goal
