A Hard Game at Millmoor.

Rotherham County 3 Denaby United 2

The result of an exceedingly hard game with Denaby, Rotherham found themselves the victors the odd goal in five—a very meritorious win considering that they were two goals down at the interval.

About 1000 persons attended the Millmoor ground and the football was good throughout, while the game was very refreshing from the manner in which both sides played with splendid dash, at the same time never allowing any unpleasantness to creep into their methods.

The opening of the second half saw the County in great form, and it would have been a very fine defence indeed that could have withstood their attacks for a lengthy period, Waterall, who had been long way the worst of the forwards in the opening half, display magnificent form, and within five minutes the County were on level terms.

Following Rotherham gaining the lead Denaby came strongly, but were deservedly beaten on the day.
