Entertainment for Cricket Club at Conisbrough

An entertainment was given on Tuesday night, in the boys schoolroom, Conisbrough, by the Amateur minstrels, in aid of the funds of the cricket club.

The room was well filled by an appreciative audience, the singing and drolleries of the n—–s causing considerable amusement, several of the local hits being much enjoyed.

Messes Forth and Johnson made efficient corner men, the antics of the latter keeping the audience in a constant titter.

Their comic songs were likewise encored as was also one entitled “Chiming Bells” by Mr G Mayor.
