Three Teams – One Ground.
Evening Problem at Tickhill Square.
Mr. T Stones, secretary of the Mexborough Evening League, was a man with a problem on Monday when three teams turned up to play on the Tickhill Square cricket ground at Denaby.
Mexboro’ R.A.F.A arrived for the Evening League game with Tom Hill Youth Club and Denaby and Cadeby Athletic Club also turned out for an Evening League game with Wath Park Road.
The problem was solved, however, by the non-arrival of the Wath side. Mr. Stones said that there must have been a date mix-up but refused to make any further comment.
