Exhilarating Cricket
Hard-Hitting At Denaby

The slow bowling of Dinnington suited the Denaby batsmen on Saturday admirably and Tickhill Square was quite unsafe.

Balls were sent into the road and into said Windows, and sometimes spectators had to be quick to escape them. The match started with three maiden overs and we began to settle down to a humdrum affair. Suddenly, however, the sun shone – and so did Tibbles and Greenwood. After was hit to leg, to the off, through the slits, past point, and past cover point.

It was exhilarating to see Tibbles only shoulders for splendid hits. Almost every ball as it, Greenwood did not get all of them as tipples date but he it well. Tibbles fell to a splendid catch in the country after he and Greenwood have put on 123 in just over 75 minutes.

Worthington did not stay long one the bails when he was bowled out went 39 paces. Carlin contained a merry hitting and after three hours Denaby declared at 250 for eight. Dinnington fielded smartly.

Dinnington also gave us bright cricket but their innings was cut short by rain at 99 for 3..
