Fatal Quarrel at Conisbrough
Inquest Adjourned.
A Quarrel outside a Conisborough public house on Saturday night has been attended with serious consequences, for one of the men concerned died as the result of a fall on the pavement.
It is stated that John Wilkinson (41), of 50, West street, Conisborough, was in company with his brother James, and his nephews, when a dispute arose. It is reported that James was attempting to separate John from his nephews, with whom he was alleged to be quarrelling, when John fell to the ground. He caught his head on the edge of the pavement and was rendered unconscious. His brother and nephews picked him up, but he died without regaining consciousness.
The inquest was opened by Mr. Frank Allen, at the Co-operative Hall, Conisboro´ on Monday.
Alice Wilkinson, wife of the dead man identified the body and said that death took place on Sunday, at 4.30 p.m.
