Fire at Conisborough

A slight outbreak of fire occurred at Conisborough on Wednesday night in some outbuildings attached to the house occupied by Mr S Wild in Old Hill, Conisborough.

The alarm was was given to the Fire Brigade, and the new engine was promptly taken to the spot, this being the first occasion on which it has been called into use.

Fortunately the brigade were not able to test its capabilities in active service they managed to subdue the fire without using the engine.

The damage done by the fire was of a slight character.
