For Demobilisation

Due for demobilisation this is Driver Kenneth Spencer, R. A. 23-year-old son of Mr and Mrs Spencer, late of the Northcliffe club and now of the Clovers arms, Elsecar.

Driver Spencer enlisted from the Northcliffe club where his parents were stewards for about eight years, and he has been abroad for years, previously in Egypt, Iraq and Palestine, and now in Italy.

He has had a successful season as a footballer with his regimental team.
